Quick Look ARMStaffing is looking for a Respiratory Therapist, Critical Care (Night Shift) in Johnson City, New York. Location Johnson City, NY Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule/Shift 36 hours per week with every other weekend required.
The Respiratory Therapist will ensure the evaluation and treatment of patients are administered accurately and in a timely manner. Services will be provided to inpatients, outpatients, UHS staff, and associated community groups as needed. Responsibilities Administers respiratory therapy procedures as directed by the manager.
Performs various therapies including Aerosol Therapy, CPT/Flutter/PEP Mask, Incentive Spirometry, and M. D. I. therapy.
Conducts procedures such as suctioning, extubation, and oxygen therapy using approved devices. Manages BiPAP-CPAP therapy, ventilator alarms, and High Flow Cannula/Humidifier therapy. Performs diagnostic procedures including Pulmonary Function Screen, Fit Testing, and pulse oximetry.
Administers adult and pediatric EKG, and BLS as necessary. Manages mechanical ventilation, ventilator alarms, and performs arterial puncture for blood gas analysis. Records and reports results accurately, maintaining patient healthcare information.
Assists in the departmental in-service program and performs other duties as assigned. Required Experience Up to three (3) years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, with critical care experience preferred. Certifications/Licensure New York State Respiratory Therapy Permit or License.
