Position DetailsLocation: New Oxford, PA 17350Setting: High School / Hearing Impaired SupportSchedule: Part-time, 2 days per weekPreferred Days: Mondays and Fridays, but the school is flexible and open to other daysApproximate Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PMStart Date: ASAPEnd Date: June 1, 2027In Person OnlyStudent Caseload: 1 studentPrimary Need: ASL interpretation and communication support throughout regular academic programmingPay Rate: $30-$35 per hour ResponsibilitiesFacilitate communication between the student, teachers, peers, and school staffProvide ASL interpretation during classroom instruction and school-related activitiesEnsure the student has equal access to academic content and communicationAdapt communication strategies based on the student's individual needsCollaborate with educators and other members of the school teamQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredEIPA score of 3.5 or higher requiredEIPA certification at the secondary level preferred for this high school assignmentDemonstrated fluency in ASLFamiliarity with educational terminology and classroom environmentsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExperience supporting deaf or hard-of-hearing students in an educational setting preferredAbout PediaStaffPediaStaff partners directly with local school districts to provide qualified educational professionals.
