Position DetailsPosition: ParaprofessionalLocation: Colorado Springs, CODates: ASAP – May 28, 2027Schedule: Monday–FridayHours: 35 hours per weekPay: Up to $28 per hourAge Group: Early Childhood through High School, depending on assignmentCaseload: Varies based on classroom and student assignmentSetting: School-based, in-personAvailable SettingsOpenings may include:SSN – Significant Support NeedsPreschoolResourceCSD – Communication & Social DevelopmentSpecific school, age group, and classroom assignment will be determined based on district needs and candidate fit.
ResponsibilitiesProvide classroom and individualized support to students with special education needsAssist students with academic activities and implementation of classroom instructionSupport behavioral, social-emotional, communication, and functional goals as neededFollow teacher direction and assist with implementation of IEP accommodations and supportsHelp students with classroom routines, transitions, and participation throughout the school dayProvide supervision and maintain a safe, supportive learning environmentAssist with daily living or personal care needs when required by the assigned classroom or student populationCollaborate with teachers, special education staff, therapists, and other school team membersQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is preferredSchool-based, special education, behavioral, childcare, or paraprofessional experience is a plusAbility to work effectively with students with varying academic, behavioral, communication, and functional needsStrong communication, patience, reliability, and teamwork skillsMust meet all district and state requirements for school-based paraprofessional employmentWhy Join PediaStaff?
