- Person PositionGreat district with potential for rehireRole OverviewAs a School Occupational Therapist, you’ll help elementary-aged students develop the functional, motor, sensory, and participation skills needed to succeed throughout their school day. You’ll work closely with teachers, families, and other members of the special education team to support students’ individualized needs.ResponsibilitiesProvide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to studentsEvaluate students and develop appropriate therapy goals and interventionsProvide services in accordance with students’ IEPsSupport fine motor, visual motor, sensory regulation, self-care, and functional school skillsParticipate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and progress monitoringCollaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, families, and other related service providersComplete required documentation and maintain accurate therapy recordsQualificationsMaster’s Degree or higher in Occupational TherapyCurrent Illinois Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensureSchool-based or pediatric experience preferredStrong communication and collaboration skillsWhy Work with PediaStaff?Weekly
