Cross Country Education is seeking a licensed School Social Worker in Brighton, MI to support elementary students through counseling, intervention, collaboration, and social-emotional services throughout the school year. Position Overview Provide school-based social work services to elementary students, supporting their academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and overall well-being.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to identify student needs and coordinate appropriate support strategies. Provide individual and small-group counseling, interventions, and resources that promote students’ coping, social-emotional, and problem-solving skills. Maintain accurate student documentation and complete required assessments, reports, and other school-based records.
Qualifications Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) Active Michigan Social Worker License Valid Michigan Department of Education (MDE) School Social Worker Certification Elementary school social work or counseling experience strongly preferred, along with strong communication and collaboration skills
