Bachelor's Degree in Special EducationLBS1 certification is requiredExperience with students with diverse needs requiredExperience with Autism, AAC, ASD, and emotional disabilities Role Overview:As a Special Education Teacher, you will support students with diverse learning needs by creating inclusive and personalized educational plans that help them thrive both academically and emotionally. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Job Details: Dates: 8/10/26-6/04/27Hours: 30 minute duty free lunch and total of 32.5 hours/weekMonday and Friday's: 8:30 am to 3:15 pmTuesday and Thursdays: 8:15 am to 3:15 pmWednesday: 7:45 am to 3:15 pmGrades 3rd and 4th; involves a partnership with a classroom Social Worker and 1-2 classroom assistantsSelf-contained classroom in a therapeutic day school and is a mix of students with the emotional disabilities and high functioning autism.

Accommodate, modify and adapt lessons and curriculum as needed to meet individual student needs and IEP GoalsSupport in the facilitation of IEP meetings as well as development of the IEPCreates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the developmental levels and interests of their studentsSet and communicate clear expectations for classroom behavior and school environment by applying positive reinforcement and/or behavior modification techniques as needed.
