Schools/Education - Special Education Teacher Mild/Mod

ALC 2 position at Winifred Pifer (WP), *Mild/Moderate or Extensive Support Needs Authorization *English Language Learner authorization The students are extensive needs but not due to intellectual disabilities but rather they have trauma that manifests itself externally (spitting, kicking, biting, eloping) or internally (withdrawing) 5 kids in the class and often have huge emotional outbursts. They have 1:1s with them but the teacher needs to be able to come in and have a vision and understanding of how to set up and run the classroom Can be mild/mod credential They need to come in and be able to set up the classroom and maintain control of the room.

They need to work well with ALL of the allied staff and other teachers – if this teacher does not have a vision then it will be a disaster! *** Candidates are not eligible for this position if they are or were a member of PERS in the past***
