This onsite Speech-Language Pathologist position is based in Vero Beach, Florida, a coastal community on the state’s scenic Treasure Coast. Vero Beach offers miles of uncrowded Atlantic beaches, warm weather, and a relaxed coastal lifestyle. Residents enjoy a friendly, small-city atmosphere with easy access to outdoor recreation, including swimming, surfing, paddleboarding, boating, and fishing.

The area is known for its natural beauty, with nearby parks, nature preserves, and rivers ideal for kayaking and wildlife viewing. Beyond the shoreline, Vero Beach features a charming downtown with local shops, cafes, and restaurants, as well as a growing arts and culture scene including galleries, theaters, and community events. The community is family-friendly, with a strong sense of local pride and a slower pace than many larger Florida cities, while still offering convenient access to the broader Treasure Coast region.

In this role, you will provide onsite speech-language pathology services to students in a school-based setting, Monday through Friday, for approximately 37.5 hours per week. The position follows a traditional school-year schedule aligned with district operations. You will work as part of a collaborative educational team dedicated to helping students access their curriculum and achieve their communication goals.

Typical responsibilities include evaluating students for speech and language needs, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and providing both individual and small-group therapy. You will participate in eligibility and IEP meetings, contribute to goal writing, and maintain detailed documentation of services and student progress. The caseload may include a range of communication needs, such as articulation and phonological disorders, receptive and expressive language delays, fluency disorders, and social communication challenges.

You can expect to collaborate closely with general and special education teachers, school psychologists, occupational and physical therapists, and other related service providers. Consultation with staff and families to support carryover of skills into the classroom and home settings will be an important part of your day-to-day work. The environment is designed to be student-centered and team-oriented, with opportunities to share expertise, learn from colleagues, and participate in problem-solving around student needs.

This opportunity is well suited for SLPs who value a consistent weekday schedule, enjoy working with school-age children, and want to live and work in a coastal Florida community with a high quality of life. The combination of meaningful, school-based clinical work and the relaxed, beachside lifestyle of Vero Beach makes this role an appealing option for clinicians seeking both professional fulfillment and an enjoyable place to call home.
