Registered Nurse, Step Down Unit, Festus, Missouri. The registered nurse provides patient care in a step-down setting while coordinating care with other departments and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided. The position supports neuro and medical-surgical patients on a day shift schedule.
Job Details
Day shift, three 12-hour shifts per week, with 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage rotates every other week, and call is required. Required
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for licensure in Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; at least 1 year of step-down experience. Additional Information: Flu vaccination is required from November 1 through April 1. Declinations and exceptions are not accepted.
Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process, maintaining professional accountability, coordinating patient care, evaluating care provided by other direct-care staff, and protecting patient rights and confidentiality. Black scrubs are required. Flexibility, teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to work well with others are expected.
