We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical Step-Down unit. The RN will care for patients who require closer monitoring and more intensive nursing care than a general medical-surgical floor can provide. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of critical care or step-down experience, strong assessment skills, and the ability to recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly.
Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care to patients requiring medical step-down-level care. Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs and clinical status. Recognize signs of deterioration and promptly escalate concerns.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered. Monitor patients closely and communicate changes in condition to physicians and the healthcare team. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support safe, effective patient care. Educate patients and families about treatment plans and ongoing care needs.
Follow hospital policies, patient-safety standards, and infection-control procedures. Minimum Requirements Minimum 1 year of critical care or step-down nursing experience . Current Ohio RN license.
Current AHA BLS certification . Current AHA ACLS certification .
