Contract details

Requirements for submittal: Coversheet, LIC and Certs in hand, Float form if applicable. Schedule Notes: On Call: 12h weekend and 20h weekday of on call in a 4-week period, with 30min response time. Weekend call will be in addition to regularly scheduled weekend shift.

Scheduled two shifts every other weekend

Minimum of high school education preferred

  • Minimum of three year as a scrub person in a hospital setting Licensure Preferred:
  • Approved program for Operating Room Technicians or demonstrated technical skills through on the job training Certification:
  • Scrub Tech Certification Preferred
  • BLS for HealthCare providers required Must have strong heart and proficient in ortho neuro robotic for when working on general cases when no hearts Certificates and Licenses: Description: Position Purpose: Provides specific patient care duties and performs unit support activities in the operating room suite.

1. Practices and Policies Consistently complies with Sharp HealthCare practices policies e.g. attendance patient safety and procedures. Abides by ethical standards set in the Sharp HealthCare Commitment to Principles Handbook. 2.

Regulatory Requirements Completes and maintains all regulatory requirements including licensing and certification and other mandatory training within established time frames. Submits documentation 2 weeks prior to evaluation or as appropriate. Requirements may consist of but are not limited to TB Testing Safety Test Compliance Training HIPAA Training Licensing and Certification other. 3.

Provides quality care to O. R. patients. a. Demonstrates knowledge of procedures by anticipating needs prior and during each case i.e. assists with dressings and/or cast application at the end of the procedure. b.

Picks cases following physician preference card. c. Consistently fulfills commitments for additional responsibilities. d. Does not require direction to fulfill responsibility. 4.

Documents and communicates important data. a. Signs count before patient leaves or room. Counts with relief person when appropriate. b.

Counts towel clips Allis and Ednas per procedure. Accountable for complete instrumental trays. c. Reports any exceptions d.

Updates surgeon preference card per entity specific processes e. Complies with all count policies and procedures. 5. Identifies problems and takes appropriate action without prompting to accomplish department objectives and improved quality of care. a.

Works additional or different shifts as requested and where appropriate b. Responsible for one department task beyond routine responsibilities. c. Submit written recommendation to change a process or suggestions for cost containment. d.
