  • Job: (1) CVOR Surg Tech - Variable 10 HR Day Shifts - Children's WI - MKE Campus Primary location: Children's Wisconsin - Milwaukee Campus Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: ASAP Guaranteed Hours: 40 - hours not guaranteed week of orientationShift: Days between the hours of 0650
  • 1720Orientation: 2 weeks of M-F 0650
  • 1520 for orientationOn Call/Call
  • Back: Call is a minimum of 1 weekday per week and every 3rd to 4th weekend (Friday end of shift
  • Monday 0700). Call response time is 30 minutes. In House on Call: In the event a full-time team member calls out sick or is on PTO, the traveler may be asked to provide in-house on-call coverage. While this is infrequent, the traveler must be prepared to stay overnight at the hospital if requested. They will receive regular while on-site or resting and will be eligible for call-back if called in to assist with a procedure.Weekends: Rotate every other weekend as neededHolidays: holiday coverage as needed; Can include in house coverage, on call (beeper) coverage or working for any shift as needed.Note: Precepting may be required during this assignment. No additional preceptor is available, as compensation for these responsibilities is included in the all-inclusive bill .Required

AHA BLS; CST

3-5 years in a hospital setting, must have strong CVOR, general and ENT skills. Primary service and call will be CVOR but will support other specialties as needed. PEDs experience preferred. ***Flu vaccine required or willing to obtain, please include on profile**Unit Specific Skillset: 14 ORs and 3 Special Procedure rooms (GI, oncology, dental) ENT, ortho, urology, gen. surg, craniofacial/plastics, neuro, eyes.

Summer 2025 - facility is seeing a lot of traumas. Highest surgical volume is currently from 5p-7p. Scrub Colors: provided by facilityJewelry (body piercing/body adornment): A single small stud is now permitted to be worn in the nose.

No other visible body piercings (e.g. tongue, eyebrow, lips and gauges) are acceptable (except ear piercings). Flesh colored or clear piercing plugs may now be worn. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where the unit is closed and orientation week.
