Nights, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Nov 30, 2026 Length: 26 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center requiring at least 1 year of tele experience and a WA or compact RN license. Details Work in the Telemetry unit of a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center teaching hospital Heavy neuro unit with post-surgical neurology and varied neurology diagnoses patient population Patient ratio of 1:5 Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00) Floating between units required Every other weekend required No on-call requirements 48-hour work weeks approved Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission Current BLS and ACLS certifications required NIHSS certification required Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience required Epic charting experience required No prior neuro experience required, but willingness to learn heavy neuro caseload expected Comfortable with NIH Stroke Scale and caring for post-surgical neurology patients preferred Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and respiratory care (BiPAP/CPAP) preferred Experience with craniotomy, CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury patients preferred Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Provide telemetry nursing care within a teaching hospital environment with a strong neurology patient focus Scrub color is any color for RNs No parking fees at this facility Christmas holiday coverage is especially needed, with flexibility expected around this holiday Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities within the region Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel RN and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted at a lower bill rate RTO requests should be submitted upfront, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated
