7.5-hour school day with a 30-minute lunch Assignment Dates: To be confirmed (now - end of may) Position Overview: Switzerland of Ohio is seeking a full-time virtual Speech-Language Pathologist to support students across Woodsfield Elementary and Preschool, St. Sylvester Catholic School, and the Monroe County Achievement Center. The SLP will support approximately 30 active IEPs, along with approximately five students receiving intervention services who may be progressing toward evaluation or exiting intervention.
Most students have mild needs, with a small number of school-age students at the Monroe County Achievement Center requiring more significant support. Caseload and Student Population: Preschool through school-age students Approximately 30 active IEPs Approximately five intervention students Caseloads are not weighted Preschool population includes typically developing students and students with IEPs Small number of students with more severe needs Previous experience with AAC/device users is helpful but not required
Provide virtual speech-language services to students Support students with a variety of communication needs Deliver IEP-based therapy and intervention services Participate in small-group therapy as needed Collaborate with other SLPs, therapists, teachers and support staff Assist the district with making up missed service minutes Participate in a collaborative co-treatment model when appropriate Maintain appropriate documentation and service records Supportive Work Environment: Preschool classrooms typically have one teacher and one or two aides Aides may accompany students to therapy when needed, including for 1:1 students Other SLPs are available for collaboration and consultation The preschool supervisor is highly supportive and will assist with introductions to staff, students and IEPs The district is flexible, collaborative and committed to meeting student needs Rural school community serving under-resourced students Required Credentials: Valid Ohio Speech-Language Pathologist licensure or eligibility Appropriate school-based credentials and clearances Previous school-based experience preferred Additional Information: This position supports schools within a very rural community in Monroe County, Ohio.
