• Language Pathologist to support students across Eastern Sierra Unified School District and the Mono County Office of Education, including the county’s preschool program. This is a unique opportunity for an SLP who enjoys working with a small caseload and is comfortable traveling between school sites throughout the Mammoth Lakes and Eastern Sierra area. While the student population is relatively small, the service area covers a larger geographic region. Responsibilities Provide speech-language services to students across a broad range of needs and age groups. Support students within Eastern Sierra Unified School District and the Mono County preschool program. Travel between assigned school sites in Mammoth Lakes and the surrounding Eastern Sierra / Mono County area. Complete evaluations, assessments, IEP documentation, progress monitoring, and related school-based responsibilities. Collaborate with teachers, families, special education teams, and district staff. Participate as part of the local SELPA / Mono County Office of Education special education team. Caseload The caseload is expected to be low overall, with a broad spectrum of student needs. Mammoth Unified already has an SLP in place, so the primary need is supporting the Mono County preschool program and students in the northern county / Eastern Sierra Unified area. Because the districts serve a small population over a large geographic area, candidates should be comfortable with regular travel between sites. Ideal Candidate Licensed or eligible to practice as an SLP in California. School-based or pediatric experience preferred. Comfortable providing in-person services across multiple locations. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Enjoys working independently while partnering closely with district and county education teams. Why Consider This Opportunity?
