The Seaver Autism Center for Research and Treatment is a fully integrated translational research center dedicated to discovering the biological causes of autism and developing breakthrough treatments. Our mission is to bridge the gap between new discoveries at the basic science level and clinical care, by developing new and improved approaches to autism diagnosis and treatment. Our interdisciplinary patient-based research team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, a developmental pediatrician, neurologist, clinical geneticist, and trainees in medicine and psychology.
The Seaver Autism Center is committed to serving individuals of all levels of functioning and takes a unique genetics-first approach to autism research. The Administrative Assistant II provides administrative support services for one or more individuals, a department or a division. Assists supervisor in routine personnel, budget and other operational details.
This individual typically reports to a manager, director or division head. Responsibilities Assists with pre-award budget development and submits grant applications through Mount Sinai’s InfoEd system. Assists with updating financial reports.
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining records of expenses for variance reporting. Submits purchase orders, change orders, payment request, travel requests and vouchers. Ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner.
Trains new hires on various Mount Sinai systems. Orders office supplies and maintains office suite ensuring all office equipment is in working order. Serves as an intermediary between supervisor and other departmental staff by transmitting written and oral requests, messages and instructions.
Assists in administering Center procedures and systems. Ensure information is disseminated to staff regarding Center and Mount Sinai policies and procedures Assists in the planning and logistical coordination of meetings and office activities, seminars, Seaver Center site visits, fundraising events and conferences, working closely with the Communications and Marketing Manager. Maintains and updates Center website, working closely with the Seaver Center Communications and Marketing Manager and the central web team May review and revise brochures, announcements or other informational items regarding program and/or departmental operations.
Drafts, edits and formats materials such as flyers, social media posts, leaflets. Performs other related duties as needed. The salary range for the role is $23.00 - $36.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
