Advanced Practice Provider, Critical Care

JOB SPECIFICSThe Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) demonstrates the knowledge and clinical expertise necessary to manage the care of critically ill adult patients. The APP functions as an integral member of the interdisciplinary critical care team, working in close collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating acute illnesses and injuries, ordering and interpreting diagnostic and laboratory tests, prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments, and performing invasive procedures in accordance with established protocols, policies, and evidence-based practice standards. Full-time, clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $60.39-$68.10. This position is paid hourly. Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations.

Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable. BLS/ACLS Certified. Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)2+ years of critical care patient management experienceMust be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.

Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
