About the Job Anesthesiologist Medical Director - Ambulatory Surgery Center at Bethesda, Maryland We are seeking an Anesthesiologist Medical Director to be based out of our new MedStar Health Surgery Center in Bethesda, MD that’s opening Spring/Summer 2027. (Initially on-board and work shifts at MedStar Health’s Lafayette Surgery Centre in Washington, D. C.) In addition to clinical duties, as medical director, you’ll help provide clinical and administrative leadership, including oversight of Medical Executive Committee (MEC) participation, promotion of patient safety initiatives, management of MedStar Health’s safety track record and foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration among anesthesia and nursing staff and surgeons.

Additional Position & Benefit Details Premium Salary, plus Leadership Stipend and yearly quality incentive eligibility $75,000 sign-on & retention bonus with full-time commitment No call, weeknights or weekends Work (4) days with potential additional shifts to significantly supplement income, if interested Student Loan Forgiveness Eligibility as a non-profit Guaranteed 8 weeks of PTO, plus paid holidays Annual CME stipend, plus reimbursed license & medical staff fees Health Benefits package valued at $28K plus excellent retirement savings match Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
