✓McGovern Medical School, Ruiz Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science , is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible ophthalmologist with fellowship training in Cornea/Anterior Segment to join our growing academic department.
✓Board certified or board eligible in ophthalmology
✓Eligible for a medical license in the State of Texas
Qualifications
✓Completion of fellowship training or equivalent in Cornea/Anterior Segment
✓Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✓Interest in teaching, mentorship, and academic collaboration
✓Potential for leadership within the Department of Ophthalmology
✓Qualified applicants must demonstrate a commitment to excellence, discovery, education, and service; potential to be outstanding in their field of expertise; and an interest in fulfilling the common goals of McGovern Medical School and UTHealth Houston.
Demonstrated record of scholarly activity, with research experience strongly preferred for candidates at the Associate Professor or Professor level
Completion of an ASCRS- or AAO-approved cornea fellowship preferred
