Assistant/Associate/Professor, Hematopathology - Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, McGovern Medical School

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston , a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), clinical-track faculty position in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The successful candidate will join a growing subspecialized pathology service that supports the clinical and academic mission of UTHealth Houston.

We are looking for a team-oriented Clinical Pathologist to join our group. Our affiliated hospital, Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center , is expanding its services, providing a variety of opportunities for career growth for candidates with the ability and skills to build relationships across units and clinical teams. Position Key Accountabilities: Providing training for residents, fellows, and medical students, as well as development of an individual and/or collaborative research program.

Serving as a role model in professional behavior, leadership skills, problem-solving ability, and interpersonal skills. Collaborating with UTHealth, hospital administration, and physicians to identify future opportunities and define the direction of department services, and develop and implement plans to achieve identified goals. Maintaining professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, in-services, current literature, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest trends in fields of expertise; supporting and promoting education and research.

Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License (M. D., D.
