Qualifications
✓8-10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle, including hospital billing and collections.
✓Deep expertise in revenue cycle operations, including billing, collections, denial management, cash posting and accounts receivable management.
✓Strong understanding of managed care contracts, reimbursement methodologies, Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial payer regulations.
✓Demonstrated ability to analyze operational financial data and utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive measurable improvements.
✓Strong leadership, communication, team development and change management skills.
✓Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead operational initiatives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
✓Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Professional billing and collections experience is a plus. 3-5 years of leadership experience managing professional billing, accounts receivable, denials management or related revenue cycle teams preferred.
Experience in large, complex health systems, physician enterprise or multi-site multi-specialty medical group environments preferred.
Experience with major EHR/revenue cycle platforms (e.g., Epic, Cerner) Cerner, Athena (GE) Group Management or similar preferred.

About the role

SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manager, Medical Group Revenue Cycle, the Assistant Revenue Cycle Manager, Professional Billing is responsible for providing operational leadership and oversight of professional billing and accounts receivable functions for a large multispecialty medical group consisting of more than 40 clinic locations.
