Responsible for all aspects of the financial management of Lakeland Regional Health including the integrity of the financial systems and for developing and implementing strategies for enhanced financial performance. Oversees the Accounting, Budget, Payroll, and Supply Chain Departments.

Assists Executive Leadership in the design of a healthy and safe culture that advances organizational, team and individual performance. Standard Work: AVP - Finance Oversees the Accounting, General Ledger, Budgeting, Accounts Payable, and Payroll functions of the organization. Oversees the Supply Chain Department and ensures effective contract decisions, contract optimization, effective integration with Supply Chain and clinical processes, improved procurement and inventory controls, improved product standardization, decreased off-contract spend, and effective use of the contract management system.
Responsible for the annual operating and capital budgets for Lakeland Regional Health assuring alignment with organizational strategic and financial goals. Development and implementation of strategies to assure revenues and cash flows are sufficient to cover operational and capital requirements. Ensures that all governmental financial reporting including tax returns, AHCA reporting, Medicare/Medicaid cost reports are prepared in accordance with Federal and State regulations.
Assures the financial statements are prepared timely and accurate in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Provides oversight of tax-exempt bond compliance with bond covenants and federal tax regulations. Responsible for the financial systems for Lakeland Regional Health and ensure proper controls are in place to protect the assets of the organization.
Maintains the development of financial models for performing complex analyses to identify and improve opportunities for financial and operational effectiveness of the organization. Responsible for evaluating impacts of governmental regulations to the organization. Competencies & Skills Essential: Strong analytic skills with the ability to plan, organize and compile information to make key decisions.
Expert in healthcare finance, reimbursement, and management. Advanced leadership and management skills, including leadership and staff development skills to mentor the Finance staff. Advanced negotiation skills.
High degree of self-motivation, commitment, and integrity. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Master Degree Essential: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration Other information: Experience Essential: - Five to seven years in a mid-level financial management role with increasing leadership responsibility. - Ten or more years experience in the healthcare industry. Certifications Preferred: -Certified Public Accountant, HFMA's Certified Healthcare Financial Professional.
