The Back-End Intake Representative is responsible for verifying insurance coverage and benefits with precision in a high-volume environment and performing monthly reverifications for current patients. This role requires extensive knowledge of insurance verification, identifying and troubleshooting claim rejections, and resolving issues related to insurance benefits. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a strong sense of urgency.
Responsibilities Verify and reverify patient insurance coverage. Resolve claim rejections and coverage issues. Communicate with insurance providers regarding eligibility, benefits, and authorizations.
Maintain accurate insurance records and documentation. Partner with billing and collections teams to improve claim outcomes. Provide support to facilities and internal stakeholders.
Prepare verification and rejection reports. Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality. Analytical
Ability to assess and interpret insurance policies, claims rejections, and coverage details accurately to make informed decisions. Attention to Detail: Ensures precision in insurance verification, documentation, and re-verification processes to minimize errors and ensure compliance. Communication: Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with insurance providers, and internal teams.

Ability to manage and prioritize a large volume of cases, ensuring accurate and timely follow-up on verifications and claims Qualifications High school diploma required Associate's/Bachelor's degree preferred.2-3 years of insurance verification, patient intake, or healthcare billing experience. Strong knowledge of insurance plans, benefits, and coverage requirements. Proficient in healthcare systems and Microsoft Office.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with excellent time management. Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
