Up to a 2300 Sign on Bonus Overnight shift- 12 AM to 8:30 AM. This position provides supervisory coverage for Mobile Crisis Response staff and the Call Center staff during overnight hours and supports continuity of crisis operations and coverage needs. Team Dynamic: This Overnight supervisor will oversee 1 Mobile Crisis Response staff person and 5 Call Center staff working during the overnight shift, including community support specialist, peer support staff, Intake Specialist, and Intake Workers.
Mobile Crisis team works in a fast-paced environment responding to behavioral health crises in the community. For the Call Center, the supervisor will oversee staff who provide immediate support, assessment, and intervention to individuals experiencing emotional distress or crisis situations, such as mental health emergencies, suicidal thoughts, or substance abuse issues. Location: BJC Commons - this a Hybrid position – 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.
The supervisor is expected to be at the office at least two days a week. When on-site the supervisor may be field based due to the nature of Mobile Crisis Response. MUST HAVE skills for this position: Strong crisis assessment and intervention skills; ability to make sound clinical and operational decisions in high-risk situations; strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills; ability to remain calm and provide direction during emergencies.
The Overnight Shift Supervisor, provides direct supervision and support to overnight Mobile Crisis Staff/Call Center staff; ensures appropriate and timely responses to crisis referrals; assists staff with clinical decision-making, safety concerns, and complex/high-risk cases; monitors staffing and coverage; ensures documentation and required workflows are completed appropriately; provides coaching and performance feedback.
OverviewBJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St.
François, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system.
Role PurposeProvides clinical supervision and hands on instruction of sound, effective clinical skills to direct reports so that services provided build on strengths of clients and their families as they deal with the effects of serious mental illness. ResponsibilitiesManages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans.
Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
Supervises and oversees operational services that build on the strengths of clients and their families as they deal with the effects of serious mental illness. Trains and coaches direct reports on clinical and case management skills. Partners with community resources to specifically address treatment needs of the patients.
