You’ll need
Education
✓Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
✓Graduate from an accredited nursing program required.
Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Qualifications

✓Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patient, families, and healthcare teams.
✓Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
✓Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and data tracking tools.
✓Excellent computer skills especially with Microsoft suites.
✓Good problem solving skills.
✓Ability to multitask and prioritize.
✓Experience with conflict resolution
✓Ability to adapt education to patient’s literacy level and learning style.
✓Ability use critical thinking and make decisions.
Prior experience working as a patient advocate or navigator, preferred.
A minimum of two (2) years current nursing experience, preferred.
Experience with coverage guidelines for governmental and commercial payers, preferred.
Current knowledge of routine screening of general population as well as cancer patients, preferred. Special attention to breast, colon, prostate, gynecological and lung screening preferred.
