You’ll need
Certifications
✓Technical Diploma in medical coding with certification.
✓Completion of a credentialed coding education program.
✓AHIMA or AAPC certification required.
✓Certified Professional Coder, Certified Coding Specialist, or equivalent required
Oncology Certified Coder- preferred.
Education
✓High School diploma or equivalent required.
Qualifications
✓Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats
✓Works to create and maintain good relationships with Pharmacy department, supervisors and coworkers. Fosters working as a team; dealing with and resolving conflict in a timely, efficient and positive manner.
✓Minimum of 3 years medical billing experience
✓Strong attention to detail, analytical and time management skills
Experience working in an oncology clinic as a coder preferred

About the role
The Drug Reconciliation Analyst/Coder is responsible to reconcile pharmacy transactions via superbills, appointment schedules, remittance advice, pharmacy reports s and pharmacy invoices. Research and track all unpaid or denied claims writing appeal letters when necessary. Research any variances in payment to contracted rates.
