✓Current licensure as a PA in the state of Maryland or Nurse Practitioner through the Maryland Board of Nursing.

Certifications
✓Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or AGACNP/AGPCNP
Education
✓Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program.
Qualifications
✓Comprehensive knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
✓Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic studies including: EKG, echocardiogram, stress tests, and cardiac imaging.
✓Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
✓Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
✓Excellent communication and patient education skills.
✓Knowledge of pharmacology related to cardiac medications, anticoagulants, and antiarrhythmics.
✓Ability to manage urgent and emergent cardiac situations
Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiology or electrophysiology specialty

About the role

The Physician’s Assistant/Nurse Practitioner will work alongside the Electrophysiologists in both the office and hospital settings to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care. This role focuses on expediting hospital consults and preoperative assessments, evaluating post operative patients in a timely manner, and managing acute and/or chronic arrhythmias.
