Full-time, 40 hours per weekShift: Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm (with possible weekend and holiday rotation)Primary

Selects appropriate materials and sterilization packaging for each instrument set, ensuring proper wrapping for aseptic technique. Ensures sterility indicators and lot stickers are present on all instrument sets and packages. Operates complex sterilization equipment, selecting the correct method of sterilization based on manufacturer instructions.

Reviews and signs all sterilizer recording charts to verify proper sterilization parameters before releasing items for clinical use. Monitors sterilizer printouts, maintains records, and documents all requirements in appropriate log books or computer systems. Properly identifies and segregates reusable items for decontamination, disinfection, and sterilization, selecting appropriate cleaning methods based on manufacturer instructions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements. [Required]Knowledge of the use, operation, maintenance, assembly, disassembly and cleaning requirements of the full range of instruments and equipment.
