✓As a Certified Medical Assistant within the General Surgery Clinic, you'll work closely with surgeons, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patients throughout their surgical care journey.
✓This role is well suited for a CMA who enjoys specialty medicine, thrives in a busy outpatient setting, and is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care .
✓American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
✓Current Medical Assistant Certification through a recognized national professional association such as the AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants), the AMT (American Medical Technologists), NAHP (The National Association of Healthcare Professions), the ARMA (American Registry of Medical
Education
✓High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Qualifications
✓This is a hands-on clinical role that offers meaningful patient interaction and the opportunity to contribute to a high-functioning specialty care team.
✓Prepare exam and procedure rooms to ensure providers have the resources needed to deliver efficient care.
✓Assist providers during procedures and support a variety of clinical workflows within the clinic.
✓Participate in medication refill processes and prior authorization activities.
✓Manage in-basket responsibilities and help facilitate timely patient communication.
✓Collaborate with providers and fellow team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
