You’ll need
Licensure
✓Nurse Midwife Nurse Practitioner (NMNP) licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN)
✓Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) by the American Midwifery Certification Board
Certifications
✓2-3 years in an obstetrical office practice as either a Women’s Health Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife is required
✓Must obtain and maintain staff membership and appropriate privileges (i.e. ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, etc.)
✓Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs

Education
✓Graduate from an RN School of Nursing is required
✓MSN with graduation from a Certified Nurse Midwifery program is required
Qualifications
✓Must have experience with new obstetrical office patient exam routines, return prenatal patient examination routines, charting, and documenting.
✓Ability to perform uncomplicated vaginal deliveries is required
✓Ability to assist at cesarean section deliveries as a first assistant is required
✓Must meet all qualifications to participate in the hospital’s programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
