Assists other team members with terminal cleaning of the room and prepping for the next patient. Handles surgical specimens with 100% accuracy. Recognizes and responds immediately to emergency situations appropriately.

Other duties as assigned. Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Interpersonal Skills [Required]Completion of validation skills [Required]Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up [Required]Knowledge of sterilization techniques [Required]Laser skills/training [Required]Able to precept and act as resource person and preceptor in multiple surgical specialties [Preferred]Minimum of one year scrub experience in a multi-disciplinary surgical service [Required]Demonstrated specialization in one or more surgical areas as determined by Director [Required]Proficient in the English language [Required]Knowledge of malignant hyperthermia, surgical site infection prevention, emergency code cart, high and low level disinfection, clinical alarms, medication management, isolation precautions, surgical care of patients age (0-100+), fire safety, AIDET, and SBAR [Required]Education:Associate [Preferred]High School Grad or Equivalent [Required]Technical/Vocational School [Required]Work

2+ years of experience as certified surgical techProficient in a minimum of 3 major surgical specialties [Preferred]Licenses and

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) [Required] ORTechnician in Surgery - Certified (NTSC) [Required]Physical
