• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures. Follows hospital regulations and industry procedures to tend to patient during pre-operation procedures. Responsibilities
• Functions as an expert in all cases in the first and second scrub role within the CVOR
• Serves as a resource to team members, providing expertise, mentorship, and guidance
• Exercises advanced clinical judgment to proactively identify needs, anticipate next steps, and respond effectively to evolving situations
• Performs pre-operation preparations to the patient's skin, body and medical equipment
• Assists in transporting patient to and from the operating room
• Will be actively involved in process improvement projects
• Works mainly in CVOR, but may float to Main Operating Room
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
• Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned Requirements and

• Successful completion of a Surgical Technologist program or 2 years' experience in an operating room as a Surgical Scrub Tech and/or LPN or military training required
• 5 years’ experience required, CVOR preferred
• Surgical Technician Certification (CST) required
• Operating room experience required
• Advanced proficiency and demonstrated ability to independently perform first and second scrub responsibilities across all CVOR cases
• Must be certified to perform CPR
• BLS required
• Trained in both TAVR and Robotics Working Conditions
• Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
• Typical equipment used in a clinical job
