Maine Medical Center Professional - Nonclinical Req #: 87600 Summary The Chaplain – Call role functions as a team member of the Spiritual Care Department and provides spiritual, emotional and religious care to patients, families and staff of all faiths and/or no recognized faith tradition in emergency situations such as end of life, trauma, moral distress, and urgent questions of meaning and value. The call chaplain models and collaborates with the treating teams in respecting and providing cultural, emotional and spiritual/religious competent patient and family-centered care.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree in Divinity or Theology or equivalent, clinical training in chaplaincy, ordination or commissioning for ministry by a recognized religious group, a current endorsement for chaplaincy by a recognized religious/spiritual group preferred. ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education, at least one unit preferred.
Two years of professional ministry in congregation or institutional setting preferred. The pay range for this position is $23.38 to $31.63 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
