Maintains day-to-day schedule of pastoral care rounding on patients according to need and house census. Performs rituals and sacramental rites according to patient/family need or request. Attends clinical and interdisciplinary team meetings, working alongside medical and support staff as a direct care provider.
Attends emergency codes and critical events as needed or requested. Provides on-call chaplain coverage (nights/weekends) according to need or established schedule. Leads public services as well as spiritual support groups as needed or requested.
Assists with various administrative tasks supporting the spiritual care program of a given hospital campus. Provides spiritual services to patients and families across multiple hospital departments (Adult & Pediatric) using a Patient and Family Centered approach. Assesses and attends to spiritual needs of patients, family and staff, accommodating varied faith traditions and customs.
