Licensure
Eligibility for board certification by a nationally recognized professional organization, such as Association of Professional Chaplains or others preferred.
Certifications
✓In good standing with appropriate authority by a recognized applicable organization required.
✓Eligibility for endorsement in specialized Spiritual Care by recognized group required.
✓For Hospice only: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Valid AZ fingerprint clearance care is required.
Education
✓Masters of Divinity, Masters of Theology, Masters of Spiritual Care or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience required
Qualifications
✓Ordination or Commissioning for chaplaincy by an applicable organization required within one (1) year of hire required.
✓Knowledge of interfaith chaplaincy concepts and practices.
✓Advanced knowledge of principles and practices of Spiritual Care
✓Skilled in providing spiritual needs and guidance.
✓Values diversity and input from others.
✓Listens well; responds with empathy.
✓Skilled in maintaining composure and professional demeanor in difficult, volatile, and stressful situations.
✓Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
✓Ability to complete routine reports and correspondence.
✓Ability to listen and accurately interpret others’ communication or instructions to take appropriate action.
✓Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
