About the role

Oversees the performance of tasks related to direct patient care. Acts as a resource on clinical issues to all nursing and clinical ancillary staff.

Orders or oversees theOrders or oversees the ordering of medication and supplies on a weekly basis based on upcoming patient census
Directs the orientation, in-serviceDirects the orientation, in-service training and education of assigned personnel, and conducts annual and off-cycle competency training
Holds monthly staff meetingsHolds monthly staff meetings to keep staff apprised of policy additions and revisions, findings of QI studies and implications, to relay pertinent information, and to allow employees to share ideas and concerns
