✓Requirements
Licensure
✓Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or Registration Eligible and a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the state of North Carolina.
✓Registered Dietitians must obtain state licensure within 30 days of employment.
✓Non-registered applicants must have active NC provisional license prior to hire.
✓Newly registered Dietitians must transition their provisional license to a full licensure within 30 days of becoming registered.
Certifications
✓This change in degree requirement does not apply to RDNs credentialed prior to January 1, 2024.
Education
✓Master’s degree as required by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, effective Jan. 1, 2024, from an accredited college or university majoring in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
Qualifications
