Job Posting Title: Clinical Dietitian PRNLocation: Dallas - HospitalAdditional Posting Details: PRN , As needed8:30 am - 5:00 pmJob Description: Duties/ResponsibilitiesUtilizes the Nutrition Care Process to perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and reassessments while using age-appropriate standards and validated tools to include nutrition related diagnosis using the eNCP terminology approved by the Academy of Nutrition and dietetics.

Respond to consults and nutrition referrals within the established time frame Facility and or based on department policy and patient outcomeMonitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting nutrition interventions as neededCommunicate with medical team regarding nutrition intervention or plan of care through verbal, written, or electronic communicationProvides nutrition education to patients and families with the patient’s preferred learning style/readiness for change/cultural beliefSupport enteral and parenteral nutrition therapy when applicable and communicate recommendations with the medical teamParticipate in Hospitalist rounding, interdisciplinary meetings, and/or discharge rounds as needed.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionalsCommunicates and coordinated meals, supplements, and enteral feeding regimen with the FNS staffEnsure compliance with clinical guidelines, regulatory standards, and hospital policiesServes as a preceptor for dietetic internsRequired Skills/AbilitiesBachelor’s degree if RDN obtained prior to 1/1/24 or master’s degree after 1/1/24RD/RDN or RDE with ability to sit for exam required withing 6 months of hire dateLD (Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist) or LD approved application from Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation required 6 months of hire date with R.

D. Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical nutrition practice preferred; 1 year experience in a pediatric preferredAbility to read and speak English, Spanish ability beneficialThis position fulfills on-call responsibilities for weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule with other RDN staffWorking EnvironmentWorking Conditions: InsideWorking Position: Sitting, Standing, and WalkingPhysical Demands: MediumPhysical
