Licensure
✓Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single state of Georgia or multi-state through the Enhanced Nurse Compact
Certifications
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment or upon start of clinical shift if working in the Emergency Department (ED)
✓Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification from the American Heart Association within 1 year of employment as required by department specifications
✓Professional Nursing certification deemed by department required upon one year of hire
Specialty certification or equivalent experience preferred
Nursing Professional Development (NPD) certification preferred
Education
✓Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
✓Aligns educational programs with organizational and strategic plans to include quality and safety trends.
Master’s degree preferred.
Qualifications
✓3 years of pediatric experience
✓Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
✓Strong presentation skills to showcase credibility and effectiveness.
✓Basic knowledge of adult learning principles in the design of educational activities to provide quality training materials.
✓Proficiency in using professional technology tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management System (LMS).
✓Evaluates learning outcomes and revises educational activities and orientation programs based on data and feedback.
