Clinical Engineering Manager

✓Requirements
Certifications
✓Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) and/or Military (DoD) Biomedical Equipment Technician certification
✓Vendor and manufacturer (OEM) repair/training certification(s) or similar credentials
Education
✓High School Diploma.
Associates Degree preferred.
Qualifications
✓Demonstrates ability to communicate orally and in writing with team members, management, and users
✓Must demonstrate ability to analyze equipment service maintenance data and summarize the information into a written report
✓Must be able to function independently and competently
✓Must be knowledgeable of equipment management standards and regulations
✓Must demonstrate a working knowledge of both clinical applications and equipment service procedures for a wide range of equipment modalities
✓Proficiency in performing database management functions
✓Knowledge of state-of-the-art electronic and test equipment, quality assurance procedures, and preventive maintenance procedures
✓Knowledge of source, use, and applications of alternative parts providers as related to electronic or electromechanical equipment
✓Knowledge of computer software-based work order tracking systems
✓Ability to work well in a team environment and to be self-motivated and self-disciplined
✓Effectively deals with multiple and changing priorities
✓Ability to travel to additional hospitals/sites and periodically conform to a flexible work schedule on an as-needed basis
✓Minimum 8-10 years progressive experience servicing and supporting a wide range of clinical equipment and related systems
Vendor and/or model specific service training certificates on five or more types of medical equipment or related technical systems preferred
Any GE PCS/Telemetry experience would be a plus preferred

About the role

Manages, directs, documents, and organizes Clinical Engineering, corrective maintenance, preventative maintenance, projects, and day-to-day operational duties for assigned hospitals/sites and resources. Functions as the primary contact and “face of” Clinical Engineering for hospital leadership, staff, outside vendor equipment service providers and the greater hospital system.
