✓Clinical professionals who have a state-regulated license shall be expected to maintain their license in good standing while employed in this role.
Certifications
✓Successful completion of the Credentialed Trainer program in a relevant application OR Epic Clinical Informatics Certification required within one year of hire.
Education
✓Bachelor's degree in a health-related field, preferably in Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, or related to patient care (i.e., Nursing) and a minimum of two (2) years of healthcare experience in a professional setting is required.
✓In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, high school diploma or GED and five (5) years of relevant experience required.

About the role

Under the direction of the manager/Director, Clinical and Operational Informatics (DCOI), the Clinical Informatics Specialist has the responsibility and accountability of assessing and assisting in the investigation, development, and implementation of new technology as it relates to clinical practice and serving as a liaison for end users and the Informatics division.
