You’ll need
Licensure
✓Current license issued by the State in which the laboratory is located, if such licensing is required.
Certifications
Certification as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist by a nationally recognized agency/board preferred.
Education
✓Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
Qualifications
✓Comprehensive knowledge of applicable safety, quality control, and specimen handling guidelines and procedures.
✓Skilled in using applicable laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, meters, microscopes, incubators, pipettes, autoclaves, and sterilizers.
✓Ability to work quickly and accurately when under strict deadlines.
✓Considerable knowledge of the theory and practice of clinical laboratory methods and instrumentation. Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, laboratory medicine, disease processes, and laboratory procedures.
✓Ability to maintain confidentiality of all patient and/or employee information to assure patient and/or employee rights are protected.
✓Must read, write and speak fluent English.
✓Must have good and regular attendance.

1-2 years of acute care hospital lab experience in high complexity testing preferred.
