Conflict Resolution : Mediating disputes between medical staff or between staff and families. Skill Development : Identifying training gaps and organizing "in-service" education sessions.
Performance Tracking : Setting annual goals and conducting formal reviews for nurses and techs. Quality, Safety, & Compliance Audit Readiness : Ensuring the unit is always prepared for surprise Joint Commission inspections Incident Investigation : Reviewing "near misses" or patient falls to create prevention plans. Infection Control : Monitoring strict adherence to hand-hygiene and sterile procedure protocols.

Reviewing HCAHPS scores and addressing patient complaints directly. Financial & Strategic Management Budget Variance : Explaining why the department went over or under budget each month. Supply Chain : Approving high-cost medical equipment orders and monitoring waste.

& Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration , Masters preferred
Typically 3–5 years of clinical experience, often in a hospital or leadership role.
