What We OfferEmergency Department Clinical PharmacistNovant Health Mint Hill Medical CenterSchedule: 7 On / 7 Off | 12:30 PM - 11:00 PMMake an Impact When Every Second CountsNovant Health Mint Hill Medical Center is seeking a Emergency Department Clinical Pharmacist to provide direct patient care within a fast-paced, collaborative emergency medicine environment. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize medication therapy, respond to critical emergencies, and improve outcomes for both adult and pediatric patients.

As a key member of the healthcare team, you will serve as the medication expert in the Emergency Department while also supporting hospital pharmacy operations as needed. This position is ideal for pharmacists who thrive in acute care settings, enjoy multidisciplinary collaboration, and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Essential functions include:Flexibility in working in acute care capacities with adults and pediatrics in the emergency departmentFacilitates pharmaceutical care services, medication utilization systems within assigned services and care areas to ensure drug utilization activities are aligned with patient care needs, evidence- based best practices and regulatory standardsCompletes critical patient monitoring and reviews patient profile/ chart to identify, prevent, or mitigate drug- related problems,Partners as an active member of multidisciplinary team and collaborates with healthcare providers within decentralized patient care areas to provide patient- centered careMakes appropriate evidence-based, patient- centered medication recommendationsParticipates in the management of medical emergencies for adult and pediatric patientsProvides discharge medication review, reconciliation, and counseling as appropriateMaintains proficiency in and actively engages in central dispensing functions and operational programsOversees pharmacy operations and technician practice/activitiesMaintains proficiency in preceptor roles and actively emulates education/ mentorship skills What We're Looking ForEducation:4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required.

Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) Certification. PharmD, preferred.

Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship OR two years of experience as a registered pharmacist in health system pharmacy. Oncology experience preferred for oncology roles, required.2 years For Infectious Diseases/Antimicrobial Stewardship roles: ASHP - accredited PGY2 Infectious Disease residency OR minimum of 2 years of equivalent clinical pharmacy experience in infectious diseases/antimicrobial stewardship, required.

Licensure/Certification:Current Pharmacy licensure in appropriate state(s) or must be completed within 30 days of start date by either examination or reciprocity, required. Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification or other approved certification must be obtained and continuously maintained within 2 years of start date as applicable to the roleAdditional Skills (required):Other duties as outlined in Novant Health and facility specific policies and procedures.
