✓Registered Nurse license in the state of Arkansas by the State Board of Nursing
Education

Qualifications
✓Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexible, ability to independently problem solve
✓Must possess strong leadership and mentoring abilities
✓The CSM is responsible for leading, managing and mentoring 90+ inpatient staff.
✓The CSM reports to the BHSL Senior Director of Nursing and is part of a team that supports the daily operations of the BHSL Adult Inpatient Unit and the Interventional Psychiatry Hospital-Based Outpatient Department.
✓The CSM identifies problems impacting patient care activities and assists in the ongoing evaluation of the unit’s goals for patient care.
✓The CSM will attend meetings and participate on various BHSL and hospital committees and will be part of a team that ensures adherence to UAMS standards of patient care.
✓Employee must successfully complete a UAMS-sponsored conflict management training (currently Level 2 & 3 Vistelar) to identify, prevent, and mitigate disruptive behaviors using methods such as non-escalation, de-escalation, personal protection from physical assaults, and physical alternatives within
✓Adult Maltreatment, Annual TB Screening, Child Maltreatment, Criminal Background Check, Substance Abuse Testing
✓This position is subject to pre-employment screening (criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification).
✓A criminal conviction or arrest pending adjudication alone shall not disqualify an applicant except as provided by law.
✓Any criminal history will be evaluated in relationship to job responsibilities and business necessity.
✓The information obtained in these reports will be used in a confidential, non-discriminatory manner consistent with state and federal law.
5 or more years of experience in the field of Nursing, with 3 years nursing management/leadership experience (recent acute psychiatry experience preferred)
At least 5 years of nursing experience, and 3 years of nursing inpatient management/leadership experience (3 years of acute psychiatry experience) preferred
Scheduling for inpatient, knowledge and skill to interpret and apply clinical inpatient attendance policies preferred
