Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position. SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS:3rd

$2.25/hourWeekend: $1.75/hourSIGN-ON BONUS ELIGIBLE!$1,600 Sign On Bonus with a 1-year work commitment. Must be of legal age to sign a contract, which is at least 18 years old, to be eligible for a sign on bonus. Candidates under 18 years old may still be considered for the position but are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

Overview UNIT OVERVIEW:Welcome to Orthopedics! 6 Ortho is a 43 bed unit that treats patients who need acute care due to a stable injury such as a fall with a broken bone, car accident with fracture, etc. 6 Ortho will also serve and care for patients who have an elective surgery such as a hip replacement, spinal fusion, shoulder repair, or knee replacement. The patients on Ortho may have limitations with mobility requiring extra assistance with the use of mobility aids such as walker, hoyer lift, and quick move.

The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed.
