The Collection Specialist is responsible for performing credit analysis on all account in a credit status, document accurately and clearly if the claim is paid correctly according to contract, document accurately, clearly and give specific details if the claim is paid incorrectly and requires an underpayment appeals or over payment refund. Identify patient liability and know when and how to transfer balance to the patient.

Know how to determine if an overpayment is the result of a patient payment or an insurance payment. Process patient and insurance refunds for overpayments. Process payment transfers to have monies applied correctly.

Works closely with Contract department ensure compliance with contracts. JOB

• 3 Years of Related Experience in Medical or Hospital Setting Required
