Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position. OverviewThis job is located in Peoria,IL 4 x 8 hour shifts (12:00 pm – 8:30 pm) every other weekend/holiday 2nd shift- 32 hours a week

​​The Communication Specialist will provide telephone assistance to team members, patients, physicians and the general public in a timely and professional manner. They will be the keeper of the physician call schedules, out of hospital personnel lists, administrative call lists, and all miscellaneous lists used to contact people or services needed by Hospital personnel. This position will also respond to all emergent calls quickly and efficiently, following outlined protocol to page.

QualificationsREQUIRED

High School/GED

1 year of customer service experience. Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

1 year clerical work experience. Experience in telephone or Switchboard operations. 1 year experience in a healthcare related phone system operationOSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
