Paramedics preferred.
Certifications
✓Virginia Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate (EMT-I) or Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (NRP/EMT-P/Paramedic) required.
✓American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
✓Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
✓Community Paramedicine Certification (CP-C) required within 12 months of hire through the International Board of Specialty Certification (IBSC) or equivalent.
Education
Bachelor's Degree preferred. In lieu of degree, extensive prehospital experience may be considered.
Qualifications
✓Valid Virginia Driver's License (VA DL) required.
✓Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) Level II or higher required to operate a vehicle within 90 days of hire.
3 years of experience in a relevant clinical environment or as a released Attendant-in-Charge with a Fire or EMS transport agency preferred.
