Reporting to the Director of Community Pharmacy, y ou will supervise pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, maintain efficient workflows, support the community pharmacy strategies, and participate directly in operational activities, including clinical workflows, prior authorization, financial assistance and refill coordination.
You will cross-train staff, assess competencies, respond to audits, and collaborate with internal and external partners to support expansion of UCLA Health’s communit y pharmacy programs. Activities will include: Overseeing community pharmacy operations and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory agency requirements Completing patient assessments, refill coordination, prior authorizations, financial assistance and supporting day-to-day pharmacy workflow functions Cross-training pharmacists and technicians across community pharmacy workflows Conducting competency assessments and ensuring timely completion of all trainings and required certifications Collaborating with UC system partners, pharmacy leadership, and internal departments to enhance and expand communit y pharmacy services Supporting operational performance improvement Supervising staff to ensure accuracy, productivity, compliance, and adherence to departmental expectations Participating in departmental meetings and serving as Administrator-On-Call as needed At UCLA Health, dedicated professionals like you help make us one of the world’s most respected health systems — with award-winning hospitals, extensive community clinics, and the renowned David Geffen School of Medicine.

Full-Time, Variable (Onsite) Annual Salary Range: $148,700 - $352,100 Qualifications We’re seeking an experienced pharmacy leader with: Current California Pharmacist licensure PharmD degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy Minimum 5 years of outpatient or specialty pharmacy experience Demonstrated experience supervising pharmacists and technicians Strong understanding of specialty pharmacy operations, accreditation requirements, and regulatory standards Ability to manage URAC, BOP, and ACHC accreditation and readiness Experience with manufacturer and payer audits Strong operational leadership skills, including workflow oversight, competency assessments, and performance management Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical teams, administrative partners, and external stakeholders Proficiency with controlled substance stewardship, specialty dispensing workflows, and compliance activities Preferred: Relevant board certification (BCACP, BCPS, BCSP, or other specialty certification aligned with duties)
